Places to go in Guam : Oka Point Escarpment / Cliff

Whether your on a honey moon, on military leave, or just a local there is a place one should go and check out in Guam - Oka Point Escarpment / Cliff.

A great place to visit at least once, amazing when the sun is setting, phenomenal view (not sure about sun rise though). The ground is paved with concrete but the trail up to the cliffline is a bit rocky and quite effortless. If you want you can bring a blanket to sit on and maybe a bottle of champagne or Don Perignon ( honestly, I advise against getting too drunk because your going to be at a cliff with no railings.... yes dangerous yet sexy!).

If your an artist whether photographer or painter, grab your stuff and capture this amazing stuff because you will probably see nothing like it elsewhere.

View Oka Point Escarpment/Cliff in a larger map

If you can't see the map here are some directions:

this starts from:
  1. ITC intersection (horrible traffic in rush hour).
  2. you will Pass by Guam Premier Outlets (GPO)
  3. take a left before St. Anthony's School
  4. you want to stay on the right lane, the left lane is a left turn only when you get infront of payless
  5. take a right before Sheraton Laguna Guam (excellent buffet at la cascata... last time i checked dinner was $25/person)
  6. then take a left and follow the road past Oka Towers Condominium
  7. on the left there are 2 unpaved trails into the trees (1st one is Escarpment 2nd is Cliff)

There is actually another place to check out right next to the escarpment... I just call it the cliff
